Risk Management & Quantitative Finance Centre, NUSRI

Overview

With rapid growth of internet and derivative instruments, the financial industry is constantly facing new challenges. Product innovation is now an important tool of reducing risks, and risk management has become more complex.

NUS Risk Management Institute (RMI) and NUS Centre for Quantitative Finance (CQF) were founded in 2006 and in 2012, respectively, focusing on research and training programs in financial risk management and quantitative finance. At the end of 2014, RMI and CQF jointly set up a center at NUS Suzhou Research Institute – Risk Management & Quantitative Finance Centre. The aim of this new center is to promote international exchange, training, and research on risk management and quantitative finance in China.

The Risk Management & Quantitative Finance Centre is organizing its first forum on “Risk Management and Quantitative Finance” at Suzhou Industrial Park on the 15th and 16th of May 2015. The forum aims to feature the latest development on the issues of financial risk management, derivative instruments, high frequency trading, financial innovation, and future challenges and trends in finance. It will also provide a platform for both academic researchers and financial practitioners to enhance existing connections and foster new collaborations.
