MOU signing ceremony between InvitroCue and Swiss InSphero and Technology Sharing Session

On 8th April, 2015, the technology sharing session entitled “Cell Modeling and Analysis Method for Drug Research” was held at NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute. As one of the activities of Singapore-China (Suzhou) innovation Centre’s NUSRI International Technology Commercialisation platform, the platform steadily supports Singapore InvitroCue to introduce advanced invitro 3D cell-cultivation & drug-detection technology into Suzhou industrial park. With this, the platform further develops the local biological medicine research & development to become worldclass. The technical session sharing has won wide support from local industry specialists and global corporations alike. Well-known international biotechnical companies like BD of USA, Beckman of USA & QIAGEN of Germany,KCI of Nanjing have attended and participated in this session.

The attendees highly appreciated that the experts and scholars had brought us high quality technology sharing on the subject and also showed us many fresh ideas in the biomedical field. Dr. Michael McMillian, Head of Scientific Affairs Officer delivered a speech named “In Vitro Cell-based Assays for Drug Development”. Prof. Hanry Yu, the Professor of Yong Loo Lin School and the leader of medicine Group(IBN,A*STAR) elaborated Cell Models and Analytics for In Vitro Assays through the application of Invitro Liver Model Organization Projects among Drug & Pathogen Test and the application prospect of Food, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Environment Toxicology & Cosmetic Examination”. Dr. Jan Lichtenberg, CEO and Co-founder of Insphero AG elaborates 3D cell model for preclinical safety and drug discovery.

The successful sharing by the distinguished guests generated great response among industrial colleagues, who were inspired after listening to these reports. The Q&A session was very lively with many points raised and answered. The attendees in the meeting appreciated that the NUSRI in Suzhou Industrial Park provided such a good sharing platform.

After the speech, the Signing Ceremony between InvitroCue Pte Ltd. and Swiss InSphero Co., Ltd., the world’s biggest 3D cell culture products supplier was held in our institute. Mr. Hui Kwok Leong, the deputy director of NUSRI graced this signing ceremony.

The cooperation of InvitroCue and InSphero will further expand InvitroCue’s 3D Cell Model Library and broaden Invitro Detection Services’ Applicable Scope of InvitroCue. Meantime, with the help of NUSRI, InvitroCue will introduce advanced cell-culture system with InSphero to push forward its development at Chinese market and establish a stable platform for future research of Invitro Detection Modeling & Analysis.
