Visit by delegation from Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry


On the morning of April 17, the delegation from Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited NUSRI. Miss Xu Qingji, the Manager of Center for Tech Commercialization and Enterprise, led the delegation to visit our main incubation space, core research labs, teaching facilities and other departments. She highlighted the achievements of NUSRI in research and commercialization, and elaborated the long-term goals of NUSRI.



During the seminar that follows the tour, Miss Liu Dandan, IP consultant of Patsnap, which is a Singapore enterprise that grew from 3 to over 130 people at NUSRI, shared an analysis of the current China situation on intellectual property protection, its challenges and opportunities in both China and Singapore. Mr. Hui Kwok Leong, the Associate Director of NUSRI discussed the development of Singaporean enterprises under new situations with the guests. He shared that the aim of NUSRI Incubator is to bridge Chinese and Singaporean high-tech projects; exploit Chinese market for Singaporean high-tech enterprise startups and encourage them to take part in the growing Chinese market. 



Finally, Ms. Yue Haiping, section chief of Suzhou Nanotech National University Science Park, explained Suzhou’s current high tech market environment and usable governmental resources to the delegation, who understood that NUS Incubation Centre will offer to startups not only technologies of NUSRI, but also policy support assistance from Suzhou industrial park and fund support for high-tech talents.



After the seminar, the delegation showed much interest towards the NUSRI Incubator. They looked forward to having more cooperation with other enterprises through NUSRI’s technology commercialisation platform, to complement each other’s advantages, share resources, and promote mutual development.
