Joint laboratory and public service platform for nanotechnology in operation
The Joint Laboratory and Public Service Platform for Nanotechnology (JLPSPN) is a collaborative effort of National University of Singapore Suzhou Research Institute (NUSRI) and Suzhou School of XJTU Nanoscience and Technology. The objective of JLPSPN is three-fold: i) to maximize the usage and sharing of research facilities; ii) to promote education, research and development in nanoscience and technology; and iii) to provide technical support and services to the academia and industry. On 1 May, 2015, JLPSPN was open to the public for technical service works such as analysis, measurement and characterization.
With a total area of over 2000 square meters, JLPSPN houses a range of advancement instruments and equipment worthy of RMB18 million. The capability and functionality of JLPSPN research facility allows for the preparation and characterization of nanomaterials, analysis of chemical composition and physical properties, morphology measurements, and cell culture and biomedical tests. Currently, there are 10 full-time staff in JLPSPN available for equipment booking and technical services.
