2018 MI Immersion Programme


20 students and 3 teachers from Millennia Institute (MI) came to National University of Singapore (Suzhou) Research Institute (NUSRI) to attend the immersion programme from 28 May to 3 June. NUSRI Immersion programme aims to help international students to understand the Chinese economy and culture, cultivate students innovation and entrepreneurship.






Professional mentors were present to assist students in building their own business plans. Students also had the chance to visit Suzhou First Silk Factory and household appliance manufacturers – Ecovacs. As a century-old plant, the First Silk Factory has a profound cultural background. In here, Students were able to observe the hard-working silkworm babies and witnessed the production process of the traditional silk products. 
In Ecovacs, the lovely robot receptionist, Wangbao, hosted us. Students also have experienced a host of other activities such as robot painting, playing chess with robot, and had a chance to talk with the multilingual robot, Sanbao.
Besides the academic course, MI students also had the chance to visit Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden, Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Museum.
It was the seventh time that Millennia Institute students participated in NUSRI’s immersion programme.
