The professional experience of Laurence spans more than two decades of career with various global companies such as Philips (Senior Managers, Global Marketing & Sales and Business Operations), Carl Zeiss (Regional Director, SE Asia) and REHAU (HR Director & Business Partner, Asia Pacific) with managerial roles covering practically the entire value chain technical services, software development and application training/ support, marketing & sales, business and industrial operations, information/ knowledge management, HR, general management and complete set-up of new regional businesses from scratch. Through these roles and in-depth interaction with customers, Laurence has built up extensive knowledge for particularly the industries of consumer electronics, precision measurement & manufacturing, scientific instruments, automotive, prototyping & tooling (3D printing), retail, pharmaceutical, FMCG as well as management consulting and talent solutions (executive search, high potentials assessment & development).

Laurence obtained his Master of Engineering in Canada. Through professional courses and job-relevant trainings, he has also acquired specific knowledge and insights in domains that include manufacturing management, total quality management, e-business & web applications, innovation techniques, learn-to-learn, business communication, knowledge management and professional coaching. In the area of public speaking in English, he has achieved advanced toastmaster status with Toastmaster International and was recognized as the best evaluator (higher projects category) in the 2004 Shanghai Toastmaster Speech Marathon. Laurence is also an accredited psychometric assessment (Facet5) consultant. He is currently a DBA candidate at the joint program by Grenoble Ecole de Management and School of Economics & Management, Tongji University, conducting doctoral degree research on Talent Management in China.
